Finding a job balance can be quite difficult. More and more people are reporting that managing their personal and professional lives has become increasingly difficult.
Longer performance, more pressure to do things faster, more pressure to succeed and less personal time. Putting together this combination creates a lot of stress and many everyday problems.
But working longer hours may not mean much, especially if you do not have the time to spend with the most important people.
“I believe that success means having a balance of success stories in all areas of your life. You will not be considered successful in your business life if your home life is in crisis ”- Zig Ziglar
The level at which you are as a person, the relationships you have, the time you spend at work, deciding what is most important is in your hands.
Here are 13 health tips you can use right now to start living a stress-free life:
1.Take More Renewal Days
When did you last take time off work to fully recover?
One of the best ways to build a productive and high-quality production facility is to take it out on a daily basis and eliminate it completely from work-related activities.
By giving yourself time, you will gain clarity on what is most important, now and in the future, and you will come back refreshed, energized, and motivated. By taking several days of renewal, you are investing in yourself which means you are naturally creating more balance.
If you can take this day every month or two you will start to see immediate results at every level of your business and life.
Now pull out your calendar and set down your renewal dates!
- Allow for Fear
Many people, whether entrepreneurs, business owners, leaders or managers, are concerned that if they do not work, or that they seem to be working every day, they may miss out on something important. The business may fail or may not receive such promotions or anything else. There is always something. There is a sense that something bad can happen if it is not invested long enough or “I can always work on something else”.
However, what if you believe that you are good enough, that you are gaining and doing something that makes sense, and that you are important?
Once you have that belief and confidence, you can let go of the fear that there is ‘always’. You will feel happier, more productive, more productive and know that what you have achieved is worth it.
- Put your date first
If you take a step back and look at what is on the to-do list, how many critical things are there? How many things MUST be done that day?
It all starts with a clear understanding of what your bigger and better future looks like. Are you planning for next year? Three years? Ten years? What do you work for?
Once you understand that, you can go back and create plans and goals that help you achieve your larger goals.
You can set goals for 90-day outcomes, the things you really want to achieve in the next quarter and set the process to get there. From this program you will understand the priorities and where your focus should be.
Do not have 10 items on your list to complete that day. Focus on achieving 3 or 5 important things every day. Benefit yourself and your inspiration will go beyond the roof. They are too many and do not finish them and your energy levels will drop.
- Show Appreciation for What You Have
Sometimes we are so busy working and dealing with day to day and we have our mind in the future until we forget about this and still, this present moment. I believe it is important to incorporate active gratitude as part of our daily lives, to really look at everything in our lives and appreciate what we have.
Many of us think of gratitude as a way to respond. Something happens when someone does something and you feel grateful. Say thank you, maybe send an email.
But the most effective way to create and live a full life is to find the things you love. This affects your attitude but it also affects others. You can send a handwritten card to your loved ones or someone who means a lot to you.
Try to be thankful for three things at the end of each day and see how this changes your attitude and mind set.
- Learn to Say No
It is important to decide what you want to do, who you want to build relationships with and where you want to spend your time. We have so many requests made for us and so many opportunities to do different things that we end up saying yes to things we don’t want to do but feel we have to do.
Have self-respect, confidence and the courage to live your life in your own way and say yes only to the things that really matter. For everything else, start saying no.
When you define who is most important and what is most important, you get a sense of what is important and who is important and who is not.
Your time is scarce. When you start saying no to a lot of things, you will be more focused and fully present in everything you said yes to.
- Have more fun
Looking back on the past week, how much time did you spend just having fun? If not more, it’s time to change things.
Think of what you enjoy, think of the loved ones you spend time with. Get into new things and new relationships. Take some risks, try something new, learn a new skill and start laying the foundation for a big project you’ve been putting off.
If you need to get out of your comfort zone to have more fun, just do it. However, you want to change your life, having too much fun keeps you strong and motivated.
- Start Writing
One of the biggest things that has helped me in my personal growth and in achieving my goal is to use my journal every day.
This is the place to keep my dreams. It is the home of my creative thoughts and my thinking tools. It is a place of refuge. And it’s a place to write down thoughts and notes where I am right now – my thoughts, my mind and my belief system.
The habit of writing in my journal sounds like a small step but a change. It has become a normal part of my life.
So, start keeping a journal. Commit to writing daily, even if it is just five minutes and see where your thoughts come from.
- Create one hour a day to think and relax
It’s amazing how much time we actually have, especially when we decide to make time. I hear the phrase “I don’t have time” all the time. What about changing that mind-set and starting to give one hour a day to yourself?
One hour to work. One hour of study. One hour to learn a new skill.
The fact is that we can all find time when it is important to us. This one hour a day can help us to be more creative and to increase your energy and concentration. Also, you will increase your skills.
- Do One Thing That You Like To Do Every Day
As we enter the daily storm, all we can do is move on. We often forget to do or enjoy the things that bring us the greatest happiness.
One of the best ways to regain some balance in your life is to reconsider doing things that give you great pleasure. If you have nothing, I suggest you find something you like. This could be reading, traveling, meditation, learning a tool or language, or being a better cook or farmer.
It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you find happiness in the experience. Try to draw time each day to do this one thing. Do it for 30 days and it will become a habit. Also, it will help you reconnect with what you really care about.
- Create More Family Time
This place means a lot to me and has been one of the reasons I started my early coaching business.
I have two young children and I wanted to see them and spend a lot of time with my family. I get to take them to school sometimes and I usually stay home for ‘family dinner’ and bedtime stories. Having the freedom to do this is important in how I run my business and how I help other entrepreneurs run their business.
If you can create a small space to spend a lot of time with important people you will see a big difference.
- Set Clear Goals
Successful people are often guided by a vision of their future. Keeping them on track and motivated to set clear, long-term and short-term goals, allows them to achieve their big dreams.
Setting realistic and measurable goals gives you the opportunity to change the way you work and live. They help you to move forward and build momentum every day. As Dan Sullivan puts it,
“Your future is your asset. If you do not take ownership of it, others will be happy to do it for you. “
- Focus on Outcomes, Not Time Spent
Instead of focusing on the hard work, focus on your time and energy to achieve great results. By simplifying your focus, you are giving your life more time to enjoy a happier and more balanced life.
It is very easy to fall into the trap of doing innumerable tasks that drain your energy and take you away from building the motivation to grow your business. You are dragged into many places and you do not have enough time and you often take too many projects. This can leave you tired, anxious and out of touch at the end of the day.
By focusing on a small number of projects and delivering significant impact, you gain a greater sense of achievement, confidence and motivation. Also, you may have more time to quit early and spend time with important people.
- Commit to the Great Future
You have the power and the control to decide what a better and better future you want now, in the present moment. How far into the future you want to ‘see’ is up to you. It could be 3 years, 5 years, 10 years or 25 years. This future is yours to build but, it only comes in the time of investing now to think about where you are and where you want to go.
Try this: Look at your ‘future’ and be clear where you want to go, who you want to be and how you want to live your life. After that, take yourself back to the present day and create an app on how to build and ‘go’ in this great future.
You will feel a high sense of power, engagement, motivation, ingenuity and productivity because you have a clear and clear vision of where you want to go and the steps you need to take to get there.
