10 Easy Steps to Permitting the Past
Time is running out and the past is still behind us now. In the times we have left behind, there are many trials and tribulations that we go through in life; we learn from our mistakes and move on. However, there are times when we have in the past that we just can’t stop. We are brought down, we are made emotional and we cry thinking of things that should never have happened to us.

However, it is not the past that defines us. As psychologist Carl Jung states:

“I was not the one who fell. I am what I choose to be. ”

We all choose to be what we want and want and we should not regret things that went wrong in the past as they just made our shoulders heavy and held us to a happy life.

So how can you stop the past? Here are 10 steps to try:

  1. Know That Time To Move On
    The hardest part of quitting the past is trying to make decisions to move on.

Yes, it is very difficult to make new decisions that can overcome our mistakes in life but you must always remember that you have a future to share.


You have already paid for the past and if that does not work for you, you need to see that it is time to move on.

  1. Make a To-Do List
    Life does not always give you a second chance. However, all you can do is make a list of things you would have done differently if you had gone back in time and done it again.

Making this list will help you learn from your mistakes while also giving ideas on what things should have been done right. You also have the ability to plan things and this will definitely help you shape your future goals in life.

  1. Believe in You
    Pain and suffering are part of everyone’s life and if you believe in yourself, you will overcome grief faster than anyone else. All you have to do is make sure you know what you are doing and it won’t let you hold back from forgetting the past.

When you start to believe in yourself, you have a positive attitude and these feelings will help you to cover up the mistakes and bad memories that bother you.

    If you are frustrated and depressed because of past experiences and nothing works to change your feelings about it, you need to start meditating.
