A man walks out of the house to admire his new truck. To her surprise, her three-year-old son was happy with the lumps of glitter in his truck paint. The man ran to his son, cut him off, slapped the boy’s hands and punched him as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.
Although the doctor tried desperately to save the broken bones, he eventually had to have his fingers amputated on both hands. When the boy woke up from the operation and saw his bandages tied, he said innocently and said, “Dad, I’m sorry about your truck.” He then asked, “but when will my fingers grow again?” My father returned home and committed suicide.
Think of it this way the next time someone steps you down or wants to take revenge. Think first before you become impatient with your loved one. Trucks can be repaired .. Broken bones hurt emotions often will not. Often we fail to see the difference between human and work. We forget that forgiveness is more important than revenge.
