It is one thing to be successful and another is to be successful. But to achieve high success, you must be willing to apply for this job. Because the theme of today’s professional craft is: How do you do most of the work in such a short time?
So while most people view the weekend as a time to relax and unwind, particularly successful people have a different view of how Saturdays and Sundays should be used. Here’s how they spend their weekends setting a weekly tone for a productive crazy job.
- They get up early.
Apple chief executive Tim Cook is said to be waking up at 3:45 a.m. every morning. Including weekends. It’s not good to think because it’s the weekend, you need to stay in bed until noon. Successful people are quick to wake up early because they know that time is precious and should not be wasted, no matter what day it is.
- They read.
You can’t deny the power of learning. Eimantas Balciunas, chief executive of Travel Ticker, says, “Learning and keeping up with what is happening in the tourism industry puts me in a position to discover those things that the competition may have missed!” By reading and expanding your knowledge, even on weekends, you are better informed to do your church activities.
- They spend time meditating.
As Socrates put it, “An untested life is not worth living.” And successful people follow that philosophy, using the weekend to look back on the good and the bad. By thinking about your week, you can focus on the improvements you need to make on Monday.
- They make time for their hobbies.
Successful people are aware that pursuit of success does not mean that they have to forget the things they love. The weekend gives you the opportunity to be creative, whatever you like to do most of your leisure time.
- They give something back.
Alexey Chuklin, founder and CEO of Writ !, says, “I can use the weekend to give back by showing that I am part of the community.” And in the book Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals, author Thomas C. Corley found that 70 percent of successful people return at least five hours each month.
- They break.
Successful people know that they need to keep track of the time they spend on their cell phones and not check their email. The weekend is a great time to take a break, even if it’s a little short.
- They communicate with their family.
Weekdays may not provide successful people who are busy with enough time to spend with family and friends. So the weekend can be a good time to catch up.
- They stay in shape.
Exercise can be refreshing. Not only does it strengthen your mind, it also gives you the opportunity to clear your head and embrace new ideas for the new week.
- They build momentum.
Successful people do not live in moderation. They always focus on doing the right thing by keeping the momentum going. The weekend is a great time to put things right and get clarity, focusing on your most important goals.
- They plan for next week.
Twitter’s Jack Dorsey has a crazy job — he works 16 hours a day Monday through Friday. But he makes sure his plan allows him to take Saturday, and he uses his Sundays to plan for next week.
