Why You Should Focus On What You Can Control

So the truth is: Most of us know that many things in our world are beyond our control, right? How other people behave, how they behave, how they think.

But if we want to be happy, if we want to succeed, if we want to be committed to our dreams, then we need to make a clear distinction between what we can control and what we cannot control.

When we are smart, we put our lion’s share of what we can control – our thoughts, our emotions, our behavior, and our responses and reactions to what is happening.

There is a good quote summarizing this about Pastor Chuck Swindoll, and it goes like this: “Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.”
